1. Zero Data Collection

Buddho Timer operates entirely on your local device without any remote analytics or user tracking:

No Analytics or Trackers: We do not include Firebase, Google Analytics, telemetry, or behavioral tracking SDKs.
No Advertisements: There are no advertising frameworks or data profiling.
No Accounts or Logins: You do not need to register, provide an email address, or create an account.
No Internet Permission: The app does not request or use Android network permissions (android.permission.INTERNET). It runs 100% offline.

2. Local Data Storage & Ownership

All your meditation logs, personal streaks, breathing configs, and preferences are stored exclusively on your device's sandboxed storage:

Full Ownership: Your practice history belongs solely to you.
Manual Export / Import: You can export your data to JSON or CSV at any time and save it to the local folder of your choice.
Automatic Google Drive Backup: If enabled in your Android system settings, standard Android Auto-Backup securely syncs your app sandbox to your personal private Google Drive account. We have zero access to this backup.
Complete Deletion: Uninstalling the app permanently purges all local app data from your device.

3. Device Permissions

Buddho Timer requests only the minimum device capabilities necessary to function as a background meditation timer:

Notifications & Foreground Service: Used solely to display the countdown and overtime counter in your notification shade while you meditate.
Vibration / Haptics: Used to provide gentle tactile start, interval, and completion cues.
Do Not Disturb Access (Optional): Allows the app to temporarily silence incoming phone calls and interruptions during active meditation sessions.
Battery Optimization Exemption (Optional): Ensures the Android operating system does not prematurely sleep the timer service during long meditation sessions.

4. Children's Privacy

Because Buddho Timer does not collect or transmit any personally identifiable information, it complies with COPPA and is safe for individuals of all ages.
